King of the Nile

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]For my Senior Project at California State University East Bay I chose to write, illustrate and design a short story approximately 30 pages long. The book’s target audience are primarily female in the 16-24 age bracket, and its genre can be best described as a small town slice of life. The narrative focuses on the relationship between a boy named Jacob and his best friend as they grow up throughout the years. Each chapter of the book focuses on one significant event as the character’s relationship grows.  I utilized a soft color palette to reflect the warmth of the story, and a combination of handwritten and sans serif fonts to convey familiarity whilst also being easy to read.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
